Tomorrow or Wednesday the Eco Devs will likely release Eco version 7.2, this version includes some significant performance improvements and allows worlds much bigger than 2km2 to be created, so far in the staging builds the largest stable world can be upto 9km2.
We will be creating another new server for the 9km2 world and this server will become our main eco server and be known as the 'Green Server', the address will replace the old one and be eco.unionworld.eu
Obviously this requires a new world to be created so the current 7.1.2 server can not be upgraded to have a larger world but the existing world will be updated to version 7.2. This server will become the 'Blue Server' and the address will be eco.unionworld.eu:3002
Due to the software we use which is called ELSM (Eco Linux Server Manager) we can only run one server using this software, which includes the crash detection feature, so the new 9km Green Server will move onto this software and the old server will be manually managed. Unfortunately we have no control over ELSM and whilst it may one day support more than one server this may result in the Blue Server having more downtime due to the lack of the crash detection.
I will post more details when 7.2 is released including any downtime whilst the changes and updates take place.
